The Annual Meeting Exhibit Hall
The exhibits are a fantastic way to meet a diverse range of people involved in vision research, network and form rewarding connections while discovering new ways to advance your research. The booths are available from Sunday, May 1 - Wednesday, May 4 (8:30am - 5pm MT). They are also available to explore virtually.
The ARVO Central booth is located at the heart of the Exhibit Hall and is a great port of call for any queries or concerns throughout the meeting.
Industry experts often host educational sessions related to a specific new product or technique. Also look out for industry sponsored social events which are a great way to meet new people interested in the same field.
Senior technical engineers are often also present in person and are a great source of information if you want to hear the latest developments in the field, upgrade an existing device or troubleshoot current problems.
Education materials and instruments are often available at a discounted price compared to retail. Journal editors and staff are often present and can provide valuable insights into the publication process. The exhibition booths are also a great way to find out about other upcoming meetings and opportunities to share your work.
Be sure to stop by the National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (NAEVR) booth who have a strong presence every year. Here you can learn more about advocacy, how to contact Congress to support funding increases and find out more about federal sources of research funding. They also support and recruit early stage investigators for the Emerging Vision Scientists Day on Capitol Hill.
